Tires are the connection between your vehicle and the surface of the road. A critical part of your vehicle’s suspension system, tires are responsible for transmitting the forces of driving, steering, and braking to the surface of the road.
Tire wear can be caused by improper inflation of the tires, improper wheel balancing or alignment issues. Our technicians can help you understand the causes for the wear on your tires and recommend tire rotation or alignment if necessary to get better mileage out of the tires you have before replacing them.
Wheel Balancing
wheel balancers are highly accurate machines that identify the weight distribution problem areas within an assembly. Ideally, a tire and its wheel should complement one-another, with both maintaining an equal amount of weight throughout the assembly. We will pinpoint the weight differentiation within a tire and wheel assembly and restore it to its factory specifications.
Tire Repair
It is not uncommon for a sharp stone, nail, or other pointed piece of debris to puncture a tire. If punctured and you are driving on a flat tire, it is important to note that the longer a driver uses a flat tire, the more unlikely it becomes that a tire repair service can be performed and there is more risk of also damaging the wheel.
If your tire pressure warning light comes on, we can help diagnose and repair the problem. The light may come on due to low tire pressure or it may come on due to the tire pressure sensors being disturbed due to a larger issue. Call for service if the light comes on as driving with low tire pressure (or a worse condition) could further harm your vehicle.
A flat tire may be able to be repaired if the puncture is ¼ inch or smaller and if the puncture is located on the tread of a tire. The tire repair procedure involves a plug and a patch on the lining of the tire.
